The existence of persistent threats to region’s network of roads is regularly underscored during major weather events, but also through the longer-term impacts of natural erosion on coastal roads.
Many of the region’s countries have established, or are developing operational climate resilience sector policies and investment plans, frequently with support from multilateral institutions.
